At The Greatham Foundation, we are proud of our warm and inclusive culture, which is shaped by our values. These values are not just words on a page; they guide how we support the people who use our services, and how we work together as a team.
Our team of around 100 dedicated colleagues is central to our impact, and many have been with us for several years—a reflection of our strong staff retention and positive working environment. We believe in supporting and empowering our people to thrive, grow, and deliver their best work.
To ensure everyone feels supported, accountable, and recognised, we operate a clear performance management and accountability framework, which includes regular appraisals and supervision. This helps us maintain high standards, encourage continuous learning, and align personal development with our strategic goals.
We value openness and honesty, and we actively promote a culture where feedback is welcomed, learning is shared, and everyone is encouraged to contribute. Whether in care, support, or leadership, our people are united by a shared purpose—to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.
The Greatham Foundation's Organisational Diagram
The Greatham Foundation is governed by a Board of Trustees, who bring a diverse range of skills and experience to provide strategic oversight, ensure good governance, and support the achievement of our charitable aims. Trustees are unpaid volunteers and are appointed by the charity’s voting members.
The Chief Executive Officer is appointed by the Board and holds overall responsibility for the leadership, management, and strategic development of the Foundation.
The Chief Executive Officer is supported by a committed Senior Leadership Team, which is responsible for organisational delivery, financial stewardship, and operational development. The team currently includes the Assistant Director (Land & Property), Head of Finance, Head of Operations and Head of Care. Together, they lead the charity’s strategic implementation and ensure that services are high quality, sustainable, and aligned with our values and objectives.
The Leadership & Management Team extends the work of the Senior Leadership Team and includes operational managers from across all service areas. This wider team plays a vital role in the day-to-day delivery of services, supporting staff, and maintaining the quality, consistency, and impact of our work on the ground.
This structure allows us to remain both strategically focused and operationally agile—supporting strong leadership at all levels and ensuring that decisions are informed by both experience and insight from across the organisation.
